2024 Adventure Bucket List

Happy New Year!

With winter soon coming to a close we wanted to make this weeks letter all about adventure inspiration.

Every year we want to travel to new places, climb to new heights, and dive deeper then the previous year.

With that being said here is 2 locations you need to visit this year.

  • Yosemite National Park

Yosemite Valley, CA

Yosemite National Park is one of America’s most popular national parks. Yosemite displays some of the best views, trails, and family friendly vacation opportunities North America can offer.

This year Yosemite National Park will require a reservation to drive into or through the park on select dates from April 13th through October 27th from 5AM-4PM

Those days will be.

April 13–June 30: weekends and holidays only (reservation requirement)

July 1–August 16: Daily (reservation requirement)

August 17– October 27: weekends and holidays only (reservation requirement)

Activities we recommend doing while in Yosemite; explore Yosemite Valley, Yosemite Valley has so much to offer ranging from rafting, fishing, and biking. sites to look for are Mirror Lake, Sentinel Meadow, and Cooks Meadow. our number one suggestion for Yosemite Valley is exploring Lower Yosemite Fall Trail. This trail is one of the more popular locations at the park with it only being 1 mile round trip to the base of Lower Yosemite Falls. This stunning water fall is the tallest in North America and is a must see while in Yosemite. Honorable mentions for Yosemite are El Capitan and Half Dome.

  • Olympic National Park

Port Angeles, WA

Olympic National park located in the state of Washington sprawls out across the Olympic Peninsula cover some of Washington’s best mountain peaks and temperate rainforests to the pacific coastline.

Olympic National park boasts some of the most beautiful views the pacific northwest has to offer, with 194 beautiful hiking trail ranging from the beach up to one of the most popular spots on hurricane ridge.

Activities we recommend while exploring Olympic National park; Hiking Hoh rainforest, Camping Graves Creek, and Walking Kalaloch and ruby beach.

Hoh rainforest one of the few temperate rainforests in North America you can explore an amazing environment along the 3 nature trails located in Hoh rainforest, while on the trails in the Hoh rainforest you are bound to see lots of wild life and get wet, also see some plants you may have never seen before. Graves creek offers some great first come first serve camping grounds for families to enjoy their time while in Olympic, you can explore all up and down the creek and see the natural beauty of fallen tree and natural formations along the creek. Kalaloch and Ruby beach is one of the most known adventure destinations in the park, it takes a brief 15 minute coastal walk to reach it’s expansive shores to reach its most famous part the tree of life, with regular morning fog you’d want to come here for a memorable beach walk you wont for get.

Creative spotlight

This weeks creative spotlight is Brandon Armstrong or also known as @Gorptexx

Brandon is a 17 year old creator based out of Washington and is in the nature niche. Brandon loves the outdoors and goes hiking often, this is where he gets most of his content. He’s grown up backing his whole life and has always had a love for nature! his girlfriend recommended he post some photos from his trips on tiktok and after receiving such positive feedback he has gained a love and desire to create content and share the outdoors with everyone!

one of Brandon’s goals for 2024 is to create more content he is proud of by focusing on capturing his adventures properly and with high quality equipment.

When I came across Brandon’s instagram account last week he was at 800 followers today he is at 1,170! Brandon gave me 3 words that best describes him and his content and he said Inspiring, Adventurous, and informative. I don’t think he could have said it better then that he is a fast growing creator capturing what he loves and is truly inspiring people to get out and adventure!

I asked him what kind of advice he would give to his past self from a year ago today and he said “to be more proactive on getting out and doing things.” he also said he spent alot of time consolidated and wasted on the what ifs and problems that could arise after losing essentially 2 years of life to quarantine and since then hes had a great drive to experience life and not to sit at home and miss out, one thing that stuck out to me in the conversation he said “life is very short, and I don’t want to spend it conservatively” this hit home.

his advice to his past self was to go outside and do the things you love instead of staying in side and dreaming of them.

Brandon I wish you the best of luck and hope you have the most amazing journey through this beautiful thing we call life, keep inspiring and keep creating.
